Senior Accountant

Work arrangement

This hybrid role requires regular travel to Greater Houston, TX for in-person work. Your manager will confirm the weekly schedule.

What you will do

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, roll-forward schedules, and financial statements.
• Complete assigned close work on schedule and maintain organized support for every material balance.

• Investigate discrepancies, cutoff issues, unusual activity, and classification questions before proposing corrections.
• Review work prepared by other finance staff and provide specific, documented feedback.

• Improve recurring templates, checklists, and controls to make accounting work more consistent and reviewable.

What we are looking for

• Demonstrated experience with general-ledger accounting, reconciliations, close, or financial reporting.
• Detailed knowledge of accounting controls, cutoff, classification, documentation, and review evidence.
• Strong spreadsheet skills and the ability to investigate differences instead of forcing balances.
• Clear communication when information is missing, uncertain, or requires approval.
