Lead Developer / Engineering Manager

Work arrangement

This hybrid role requires regular travel to Greater Houston, TX for in-person work. Your manager will confirm the weekly schedule.

What you will do

• Translate client and business requirements into practical architecture, delivery milestones, and testable acceptance criteria.
• Set and maintain standards for Drupal, PHP, front-end code, integrations, infrastructure, security, and deployment.

• Review designs and code, identify delivery risks early, and coordinate releases and production incident response.
• Plan engineering capacity, assign work with clear context, and communicate scope or schedule changes to stakeholders.

• Coach developers through feedback, pairing, and documentation while improving the team's delivery process.

What we are looking for

• Demonstrated experience leading production web or software delivery and explaining technical tradeoffs.
• Strong Drupal or PHP architecture, code-review, debugging, security, and performance skills.
• Experience planning work and supporting developers with different levels of experience.
• Clear written and verbal communication with technical teammates, clients, and business stakeholders.
